The WJ-HD300A Series Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is a true "All-in-One" solution. The vital recording and camera control components are included in this unit for a true out of the box security solution. Panasonic dome cameras can be controlled from the recorder with up to 8 Panasonic dome cameras being controlled through the coaxial cable reducing installation times and cable cost.

Control of the DVR can be taken from the front panel of the recorder or using an optional System Controller available from Panasonic. Furthermore, the DVR can be connected to a network to allow live and playback control of the recorder remotely, images may be quickly downloaded from the recorder across the network. Images can also be automatically transferred by FTP on the network to a server either periodically or upon an event and an e-mail alert sent notifying the event.

Recording options are extremely flexible on the WJ-HD300A Series DVR, with a multitude of recording modes being started manually or through a schedule. Recordings may also be triggered by Video Motion Detection (VMD), external triggers such as an output from an alarm panel, camera generated alarms or through Panasonic's PS-Data; with pre and post event recording vital evidence is captured when it matters and easily found in the recorders alarm history. All this can be scheduled through a time table allow fine control of how the system behaves at a particular time.

Storage requirements can be tailored to suit the installation of the recorder. Additional hard disk drives can be installed in separate expansion units (WJ-HDE300) connected to the recorder at time of original installation or to allow the system to grow if demands are increased at a later date. Reliability of the system can be maintained using RAID 1 or RAID 5 disk mirroring, in the unlikely event that a hard disk should fail, important recording information can be recovered.

This series of DVR can be integrated into Panasonic's analogue and IP ranges allowing the system to remain flexible and expandable.
